It’s hard to sum up my approach to my artwork or how I see art in general. Here's what I know so far ~

 

Instinctually, I want to represent a story, a personality or situation in an interesting, beautiful way. I’m fascinated by all aspects of life - from the broader picture down to a simple yet unforgettable color combination. 
 

I am inspired by new materials and other artists constantly. The process of working is just as important to me as the end result or the ultimate meaning of a piece. Which, at times, I don’t always recognize until after I’m finished. 
 

Growing up in the south and being surrounded by a big, loving, supportive family has been a huge part of my life. Which is also fueled by my love of cooking, baking and all things entertaining. My kitchen doubles as my studio and conveniently my old drafting table, sitting in the center of it all, serves me well in both areas. Traveling over the years has become a significant part of my life and influences my art in many ways.
